Database for papers of physical piano performance

公開日: 2024年1月23日火曜日

Nowadays, advances in science and technology have enabled us to solve various problems using scientific approaches. Piano performance is no exception to this. However, not much is known about the fact that such research is being conducted in the first place, let alone the research results that have been revealed.

In order to resolve this situation, I decided to collect papers related to the physical piano performance and create a database.

Currently, the main researchers I'm forcusing on are as follows (Random order, titles omitted).

  • Werner Goebl (Professor at the Vienna State University of Music)
  • Caroline Palmer (Professor at McGill University)
  • Peter E. Keller (Professor at Aarhus University)
  • Eckart Altenmüller (Professor at the Hochschule für Musik Hannover)
  • Shinichi Furuya (Researcher at Sony Computer Science Laboratories)

Please use this database to raise the baseline of knowledge or to investigate previous research regarding piano performance.
